So I was in the local fruit and vegetable shop near me and was at loose end for what to cook. Then I thought of a recipe I’d done a while ago. A quick and easy pasta salad.
Now I’m pretty bad at remembering exactly how I cook recipes as I just make them up as I go along, then completely forget what I did about 2 days later. This is one of the reasons I am writing this blog. Now I love the fact that people follow me and cook and hopefully enjoy my recipes but mainly I write this so I can keep track of how I make stuff!
This is also a good opportunity to tell you all about the search function on my site. Now I’d like to pretend that it’s thanks to my own in depth knowledge of web design and HTML but it’s not. Thanks to the lovely WordPress peeps they do all the hard work for you. So! At the top right of the screen is a lovely search function. Type an ingredient, a few ingredients or a dish that you want to cook and if it’s something I’ve cooked in the past year and put it up here, it will show you all the recipes that are relevant! Sweet!
Now this is exactly what I did. I put in ‘pasta salad’ and bosh, straight to the recipe. Grabbed the ingredients from the shop and off home to cook it. I still managed to forget the lemon and parsley somehow but it still turned out really nice. I can add them tomorrow as I have, as always, made enough to feed a million people. Looks like I’ve got my food for the next few days sorted. 🙂
I’m hoping to do a nice slow cooked lamb recipe this weekend as a little trial run for a dinner party i’m having soon. Check back soon!
